How creativity can turbocharge your business
For Entrepreneurs Only recently held a ‘Lunch and Learn’ event during which HEY Creative Chief Officer Max May and Wykeland Group Managing Director Dominic Gibbons led an interactive session titled ‘How Creativity Can Turbocharge Your Business’.
The workshop challenged entrepreneurs to think differently, challenging them to embrace the power of arts and culture to Improve retention, stand out in a crowded market and embrace and navigate change
The Hull & East Yorkshire Creative Charter
The event was also an opportunity for attendees to explore the Hull and East Yorkshire Creative Charter, a free tool that enables businesses to demonstrate their support for arts and culture. With 100 regional businesses already signed up, the Charter asks businesses to make for free-to-deliver commitments to arts and culture:
- Unite: Connect with arts and culture to drive the success of Hull & East Yorkshire
- Advocate: Shout loud about the impact and importance of arts and culture in Hull & East Yorkshire
- Grow: Help power the growth of arts and culture in Hull & East Yorkshire
- Include: Use your voice to create a fairer and more inclusive future for everyone in the region
Growing the network
The vision of deeper, cultural engagement is already gaining momentum. Following the workshop, several FEO members, including Danbrit and Alessandro Caruso Architects signed the Charter.
Jan Brumby, FEO’s Chief Executive, shared “It was great to collaborate with HEY Creative – where I’m proud to serve as a Board member – on this initiative to drive engagement in the Hull & East Yorkshire Creative Charter from our thriving community of entrepreneurs across the region.”
Arts and culture already contributes over £35 million to Hull and East Yorkshire’s economy, and HEY Creative is committed to expanding this impact. HEY Creative exists to strengthen the arts and cultural sector in the region through cross-sector partnerships with business, healthcare, education, local authority and beyond.
