Discover! Creative Careers
In 2024, HEY Creative led Hull & East Yorkshire’s first ever involvement in the national campaign, Discover! Creative Careers.
We partnered with Generation Hull and East Riding Cultural Education Partnership to deliver 11 Creative Careers showcase events in schools and colleges across the region, and cascade creative careers resources to education and careers professionals, local authority partners and cultural networks.
We also urged businesses to champion creative careers and skills, through a social media and press campaign which reached tens of thousands of people.
The national campaign grew into a month-long initiative in 2025, which HEY Creative again championed to businesses, education and youth settings and the cultural sector.
Cultural Governance
A strong cultural organisation needs a strong board – and diversity brings strength.
That’s why in 2026 we’re co-creating a Board development initiative with businesses, the voluntary sector and cultural organisations, to ensure Boards have the skills and lived experiences required to thrive in the every-changing environment.
This will build on data and insights shared directly by organisations and reflect best practice guidance from leading national programmes. Check back later in 2026 to find out more!
